Chronic fatigue gives way to renewed energy

"My daughter and I both benefit greatly from the treatments"

"I was always tired and could sleep no matter the time of day. I really couldn't make it through the day without taking naps. It was not unusual for me to sleep twelve hours a day,” says Wilco van Hemert (46) from Brakel in the province of North Brabant. "My energy level was so low at one point that I even had to stop cycling. And that hurt." Besides chronic mental and physical fatigue, Wilco has suffered colds, excess mucus, and annoying sinus infections for years.

Second fastest time skiing

Because he had heard so many good things from people in his inner circle about the Functional Neurology Institute in Lisse, Wilco decided to make an appointment there. “Not for myself, but for my daughter who was unwell. She was dyslexic, bullied at school, and always tired." Eight treatments later, Wilco noted tremendous improvement. "My daughter now looks much happier and has much more energy." By way of illustration, Wilco mentions her remarkably improved performance during a skiing competition. "She always came in last or second to last, but during the recent Dutch Championship she finished tenth. Two weeks after that, she even set the second fastest time in one of her runs. Who could have thought! We are so glad that she is feeling better now."

Nothing helped

Triggered by his daughter’s excellent treatment results, Wilco decided to put his own complaints to professional specialist Ronald van der Kuil. “I had tried so many things and undergone so many alternative treatments, that I had lost heart along the way." After five GyroStim sessions followed by functional neurological disorder treatments combined with the use of Vitamin B-Complex, XO-7 (special salmon oil) and Gabax, Wilco’s condition has markedly improved. "Although I still go to bed early, I can now do without my naps. I no longer suffer as much inflammation and the amount of mucus has decreased significantly."

Cycling again

Wilco has even begun bicycle racing again, albeit cautiously. “I always used to suffer pain in one buttock because I didn’t sit straight on the saddle, but that problem is solved now too.” Thanks to the sessions with the GyroStim, a high-tech computer-controlled chair that can rotate around its axes in different directions, Wilco is now able to apply the same amount of pressure on both pedals. "That saves me a lot of muscle pain."

Business keeps operating

Wilco's progress has not gone unnoticed by the employees of his successful company. "If I started work at six or half past six, by the time nine o’clock came along I really had to stop. That is much improved now." In retrospect, Wilco suspects that the success of his business was why he ignored his complaints for too long. “Margins were up and because I employ twenty people, I didn’t have to be in the office all the time. My employees just carried on when I had to go home to sleep."

Dealing with tension and stress

Wilco is now better able to handle tension and stress, and his future is looking bright. "I am glad that I took the step to involve Ronald van der Kuil, who listened attentively and developed an effective treatment plan for me. I still have a few sessions to go, but they are certainly worth the hour and 45 minutes drive to the practice in Lisse."
