Insomnia
Many people with chronic insomnia have already consulted various medical professionals, without lasting results. This is unfortunately understandable: Sleep isn't a simple on-off switch, but a carefully coordinated process that connects different areas of the brain and a series of neurotransmitters (chemical signaling substances). When this system becomes imbalanced, sleep problems can arise, such as insomnia, difficulty sleeping through the night, or a disrupted sleep-wake rhythm.
Current theories don't always fully capture the deeper neurobiological and neurocognitive-limbic interactions (emotions - memory - motivation - pleasure). Yet, these underlying causal relationships are essential for achieving lasting improvement.
